FIZ AutoDoc: better integration of automatic full-text delivery options into intranets and portals
New version of full-text broker service offers individual articles from selected publishers in Pay-per-View mode / special ordering masks for patent documents and other literature / Open URL 1.0 for subscribed e-journal linking in intranets and portals / new release to be presented in London at the Online Information 2005 from Nov 29th to Dec 1st
London/Karlsruhe, November 2005 – FIZ Karlsruhe has launched a new version of its automatic broker service for document delivery, FIZ AutoDoc. FIZ AutoDoc allows to electronically order documents from both external and in-house sources, including subscribed e-journals. A third option is the manual order processing by the FIZ service team. FIZ AutoDoc can be accessed on the web at http://autodoc.fiz-karlsruhe.de. A customised solution for intranets and portals is also available. The enhanced broker service will be presented at the Online Information 2005, to be held from November 29th to December 1st in London (stand no. 226, Olympia Grand Hall, Ground Floor).
FIZ AutoDoc’s features and functions have been significantly enhanced, also facilitating the ordering process. For the first time, customers will now have the possibility of electronically ordering individual articles from selected publishers in pay-per-view mode. All orders will be listed on a monthly collective invoice. Open URL 1.0 is now available to import order and user data and to link to subscribed e-journals. The interface and user interaction have been optimised. Among other things, new ordering masks for patent documents and other literature have been added. Full-text patent documents from all over the world can now be ordered directly using a special order form. The order is automatically processed and the requested document can be delivered very quickly. Additional search options within the “order history“, the permanent display of the current delivery address, more status messages, and an improved user management with easy cost centre allocation and user administration make the new FIZ AutoDoc a perfect online library for intranets and portals.
When integrated into the intranet, the broker service becomes an integral, continuously available part of the company network. And the look of the user interface can be matched with the corporate design.
