TANDBERG Awards mvision the World’s First ‘Centre of Excellence’ Accreditation
mvision’s new customer briefing centre will enable users to experience the benefits of next-generation video conferencing first-hand
London, UK, July 17, 2008 – TANDBERG® (OSLO: TAA. OL), a leading global provider of telepresence, high-definition video conferencing and mobile video solutions, today accredited mvision with the world’s first ‘Centre of Excellence’.
Based in Barbican, Central London, mvision’s customer briefing centre provides an impressive array of TANDBERG video solutions; from desktop to room-based telepresence, meeting room systems to 3G mobile solutions. The centre showcases the power of visual communications using a revolutionary service model that combines TANDBERG video systems, mvision’s dedicated video network and a host of enhanced services into a single user-friendly package.
By removing the cost, bandwidth problems and IT resource issues of traditional video conferencing, TANDBERG and mvision have enabled small to medium-sized businesses to have access to the full benefits of visual communications, previously limited to the cash-rich corporations.
Some of the solutions featured in the centre include TANDBERG’s room-based and desktop telepresence systems, 6000 Profile MXP, Centric desktop systems and the MOVI webcam server. In addition, key infrastructure products such as TANDBERG’s Management Suite and Video Communication Server will also be used for demonstration purposes.
“With TANDBERG continuing to create state-of-the-art video systems and infrastructure, combined with our fully managed video service, we’ve been able to offer users a cost-effective, reliable and stress-free video experience,” commented Kevin Stavers, sales and marketing director at mvision. “However, many users still need to experience the technology first-hand so by using this facility, we can easily demonstrate the high quality of visual communication technology today.”
Colin Danielsson, MIS service and projects manager at Cap Gemini and mvision customer, stated: “From a customer perspective, being able to personally experience the technology is a key factor in the purchasing process along with the ROI benefits. Not only were we impressed with the video technology and mvision’s service, but the fact that the technology is a taxable benefit was an added bonus. As a team of dedicated and professional specialists, mvision understands our business needs and enabled us to achieve the best return on our investment. This centre is a perfect opportunity for us to trial the latest technology when we are looking to buy more in the future.”
The mvision customer briefing centre is the first accredited ‘Centre of Excellence.’ This forms part of a TANDBERG programme recognising the ability for partners to demonstrate and support their full suite of endpoints and infrastructure products.
“Our partners are of critical importance to our future and we are continually looking for new ways to help them grow the market of their businesses,” commented Wayne Stephens, EMEA director partners and alliances at TANDBERG. “We believe that ‘seeing is believing’ and the new centre will give both TANDBERG and mvision the opportunity to take this belief to the next level by providing users with a fully-equipped and interactive demo centre.”
