New International Full-Service Agency: The Creative Team of Choice For Polar Bears!New International Full-Service Agency: The Creative Team of Choice For Polar Bears!
21st August 2008: According to their website (www.tomodachixfactory.com), new agency Tomodachi X Factory has cut its teeth on marketing chocolate to penguins and developing new international markets for the polar bears. Looking more like a news site than a traditional agency website, the polar bears give a strong endorsement of Tomodachi’s creative team and their ability to help develop national, international and, with a peek into the future, inter-galactic markets.
Tomodachi is the brainchild of Dutch CEO Bart Kuik who has spent two years creating a new proposition in the marketing industry and assembling a top team of talents to meet his exacting standards. Bart Kuik worked in Japan and the USA as well as across Europe for major brands before starting his own advertising agency, which at its peak employed 60 people. He is now looking to head up a much more ambitious global agency that not only offers in an exceptional and exciting way marketing advice and the full spectrum of design, advertising, PR, web and events services but also, through sister company Tomodachi International Marketing (www.tomodachi.eu.com), direct sales support. “The objective,” explains Bart Kuik “is to offer top creative talent coupled to marketing know-how and experience, at sensible prices, for the full range of marketing tools a company might need to increase market penetration, open new markets or launch new products. We are taking full advantage of electronic communications to distribute the team around the UK and overseas for minimal overheads, so that there is always a senior member of the team nearby and client budgets can go much more to doing the work instead of covering overhead costs of the agency.”
The concept for Tomodachi has been evolving since Bart Kuik was in the management of Friesche Vlag (now Friesland Food, a multi national dairy company) and Sony. He made it his business to find unique marketing approaches, new opportunities and markets for these companies and for clients of his advertising agency.
Bart Kuik again “The solution needed varies from situation to situation and may require a single service or a combination of multiple talents to achieve a client’s objectives. To get the top creative talent you would need to go to several agencies offering different services and all pulling in slightly different directions and each vying for the lion’s share of the budget. Now there are the Tomodachi X Teams, top international talents, meeting exactly the needs of the clients. “
Launched this month, Tomodachi has already won several clients in Holland and the UK, looking for domestic and international sales expansion. The creative team is based in the UK. Four Account Directors have been appointed to cover England and Wales; also the International Director Business Development, the heads of Design, PR, Events and Media Production, as well as all production crew, are based here. Teams are also up and running in the Netherlands and Belgium, with other countries to follow shortly.
